Lifes too short to spend in an office.
I'd have to find another way to survive

Great. No one cares what you did. This is not about you. You are just being obnoxious.

losers, but man the melt from WFH people being told to RTO is so funny to me.
Other than pure selfish jealousy, why do office people seem to give such a frick that other people WFH?
If I was back in the office, I’d still want less people out and about, traffic, crowds, etc.

It’s 100% jealousy, there is no other reason

I don't think it is 100%. Some WFHers seem to think they know better than the people running the massive companies they work for and it looks pretty silly sometimes.

. I’m also required to work Wednesday night from 7-8, so I’m not going to work that day.
The horror!

I guess if they don’t like it they can’t find another job?

A good many of high performers will. Then JP Morgan will pay McKinsey $8 million to do a study on why. Then Dimond will say it’s bullshite, then customers will eat the cost of the study in fees with worse service.
Sounds great!

The amount of bootlicking is a surprise, to be honest

I don’t know why people think sitting someone in a cube farm fixes this
It’s only difficult to understand if you are just pissed that you have to RTO. Some people require more hands on management and oversight which can only be properly done when in the same office or floor or area of the office.
If I felt this strongly about working from home I would have gotten another job lined up that allowed what I wanted instead of just bitching about it on an anonymous message board.

It doesn’t ultimately make a bit of difference to me. What a stupid statement

Maybe I’m just confused on a 3/2 schedule… I thought it was WFH Monday and Friday and work in office T-Th
Generally with this system, people work in office different days. Some might be in office Tu-Th, some m/w//f, some mob-wed etc

That’s fine, but don’t be upset when I clock out at 5 and leave my computer at my desk
As long as you are getting the required work done by 5 why would this be a problem?

More open workspaces now
That’s the real issue.
If 10 people are sitting at open floor desks all talking on different calls… that’s NOT collaboration

“Getting the required work done” is a nebulous term in industries like this that doesn’t really exist. There’s always work to be done, it’s how fast can you turn it over and get on to the next project

No one is bootlicking. Companies are allowed to determine where their employees work. Don't like going back to the office? Go find a job where you can WFH or work hybrid.
Or you can just go on TD.com and bitch like mingo
