Biden suspends Alaska oil, gas leases in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

FoxBusiness

The Biden administration suspended oil and gas drilling leases within Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge pending the outcome of an environmental impact review, officials said on Tuesday.

The decision marked a reversal of the Trump administration’s efforts to expand drilling in the region. President Biden previously placed a temporary hold on oil and gas activities within the refuge, citing potential "legal deficiencies" in a Trump-backed leasing program.

The US Bureau of Land Management approved leases for nine tracts of land within the refigure just days before former President Donald Trump left office. The leases were announced publicly on Trump’s final day in office.

It's like the $15/hr minimum wage they wanted. They knew they could never pass it in Congress so they paid millions of people to stay home and vola, companies now have to pay worker more than &15.hr to get off their asses and go back to work.

They want you off of fossil fuels so what better way than to make fuel prices go to un affordable levels.

The economy be damned.

I said this a while back. It’s all being manipulated to get what they can’t otherwise pass.

We just need a giant stimulus package that pours money into green energy and battery companies. We've got plenty of precedent to show it works.

back 4-5 months ago there seemed like a lot more staunch Biden defenders on the OT. Where did they go?

I was never really into politics until around 2016-17. I can honestly say now, frick the left and these flaming liberal pieces of shite.

Carry on.

Would higher fuel prices encourage drilling in parts of Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma?

Or are those all outlawed as well?

It's weird because it seems like these prices are in a precarious spot. It's like there's not an oversupply, but there's also not a huge demand either. It's fricking weird.

I'm sure President Applesauce Brain's handlers are working hard on taking care of that too...
