It absolutely is. This isn't a strep throat test or liver panel that shows what's wrong. Mental health is extremely difficult and there's no one size fits all solution. There's no easy test to definitively determine whether or not someone has ADHD.

Ok, but student loan debt isn't a factor in the macro wage (gap) data this thread is about.

True they do carry some of the burden, but a prescription isn't a legal mandate. The parent can step in and ask for other options.

Nursing being a medical profession is not always included in STEM calculations.
Nursing is one of few exceptions of a woman dominated major that does very well. Same for Pharmacy.
That said, nursing programs are very competitive. It still hold true that women are not getting the most marketable degrees as a whole.

if they don't put the kids on medication to sedate them, the schools will punish them
the schools have been engineered to punish these kids if they don't conform, and on top of that, they gear the education towards feminine traits. this is why college is like 55-45 or something insane now. i think graduation may be as high as 60-40

Blindly trusting a doctor giving your child legal meth is insane. That stuff completely changes your personality, eating habits, sleeping habits, etc. If a parent is doing that just because they're hyper or can't sit still, you know normal boy behavior, they are insane.

I'm not saying that parents should blindly follow every Dr's advice, but I also can't blame them for trusting a medical professional in advising them on their child's development.

Diagnoses are too frequent and too numerous.
School systems need to be re-evaluated and altered accordingly.

They have special doctors for these issues though. If you go to one without prescription writing ability, all they can do is recommend what to do.

I get it, dude. You think most parents are dumb. That's why I'm saying the doctors need to be more careful about these diagnoses because the parents put all their trust in them.

I've never really understood the fascination with graduation rates out of proper context.
Most of these women graduating will end up in low wage jobs that will cap off early. A good number were only in college to find a man. (The MRS degree is a real phenomenon)
Some will become great professionals. My point is that what matters is types of degrees earned and how it translates into our job market.
This is the real issue that is never discussed. Graduating a huge number of liberal arts /social science majors with no skills companies need is bad for the economy at large.
