Nope no mask for me. Most places here aren’t requiring them. The ones that are I just avoid like Costco. I’m also on strike from haircuts as I refuse to follow the policy.

What is so bad about wearing a mask? Why is it such a big deal?

Nope.. Went to 3 seperate stores today maskless.. All the "wear it to protect others" moral narcissist can suck a testicle.. If you're to chickenshit to leave your house stay the frick home and its on you to protect yourself not someone else.. Plus most people I see wear the mask and gloves improperly to begin with so it truly is useless

Furthermore.. When did we as a society become so Got Damn afarid of our own shadow?? I weep for how pathetic and weak society has become.

You were the one saying old people should just never leave their house.

Classic narcissistic behavior

But I do have compassion for the millions who lost their fricking jobs over this bullshite. Save a few at the expense of the masses. Awesome, and look where it got us.

No, even Fauci says they are not needed. Follow the science (or scientist), right?

I have a stash of them. So if i am going to a Karen-rich environment I will.

Harbor Freight the other day? Nah. Just quick on the draw with hand gel.

Because it presents an illusion of safety.

I wear a frigging mask at work 12 hours a day (RN) and sure as heck ain't wearing it anywhere else unless made to. My ears are sore and all those bandanas and homemade crap is just that, crap. Open this place up, I'm going commando.

And never made one of those silly TikTok videos either. So stupid.

How do you respond to people who wear masks while driving alone in a car, walking in a park, or jogging and say the same thing about people who only wear masks in businesses? A coworker was very upset on Friday because her neighbors had friends over for a BBQ and none were wearing masks while her kids were reading on their back porch. To those folks, you are a person who lacks compassion and common sense.

There’s a continuum that goes between never wearing masks to wearing masks whenever you step outdoors. It’s judgmental and arrogant to think that your position on the continuum is the right one. You have enough problems in your personal life without inventing new ones.

My response to her was more about her arrogant, narcissistic attitude about it as displayed by previous posts of hers on the topic.

Because it doesn't affect her, she can't possibly understand why wearing a mask in CERTAIN situations is about more than protecting yourself and protecting others around you.

She was angry in another thread at older people in the grocery store, saying how it inconvenienced her. Not knowing that some of them may have no other option but to leave their house to go to the store.

There isn't a perfect solution to all of this. And I certainly don't stand on either extreme side of this. I believe there is a middle ground that should be aimed at achieving in all this.

I think people have a hard time coming to the realization that our world is NOT going to just instantly go back to how it was before all this. If you truly expect that, you are going to be sorely disappointed. All of us wish this was the case, don't get me wrong. I would love nothing more than for to just be able to get back to how things were.

But the reality is....it is NOT. This has forever changed the entire world. At least for now. I don't think we should all stay at home. But I do realize that as things open up...they need to do so with caution and more restrictions than before.

But her saying "No, that's just ridiculous" isn't arrogant and judgmental as well?

Did you intentionally not pay attention to the Fauci link above? Masks are not useful and only make people feel safe. He's the expert, right?
