No, we generally agree about what we spend money on. If he plans to buy something, he tells me and I do research to find the best price.

We share a credit card so I can see what she buys. We talk about any purchases that are more than a few hundred dollars.

That being said…I can’t see what she buys with her debit card and I know she buys a few things without telling me, but it’s not a lot. I buy some stocks without talking to her, but she doesn’t care about that.

back in the 70's i worked at D. Masur & Sons in Monroe, selling nice men's clothing. we had a banker that would come in and buy a new suit ever spring and fall. once fitted, he would have us deliver it to the cleaners around the corner, then have his wife pick up his cleaning for him. that's master level stealth.

We each have a separate account in addition to our shared account, whatever she does with that $ is up to her and same for me. It works out well.

That's referred to as hiding in plain sight.

I hate shopping. He loves vinyl records. If I buy anything, it's some ridiculous 3D puzzle that we build together. We have a pinball machine that we built and are working on a Halloween Magic House, which I believe the Chinese manufacturers are currently laughing at us, considering how small the pieces are. It's like a nightmare Lego set, but with wood.

Only when it comes to drugs, booze, and gambling losses. Otherwise, I'm a pious open book.

Eta
She on the other hand is shady as frick and I'd rather not know.

My wife doesn't hide shite. I know the UPS driver by name because I see him everyday. Think I'm about to start inviting him to eat dinner with us.

I don't think I've ever hid anything I've bought from the SO at this point. Not really any reason to. And vice versa.

Not really. Everything I buy is either food for the house, stuff for the house or clothes for the kids. Hard to hide that shite.

I bought a gun safe for the kids safety a few years ago.

That has made hiding my ammo and gun purchases way easier.

She just asked me the other day why I had a metal blue tooth speaker in there.

Took me a minute to realize she was talking about my .30 cal suppressor I got last year.
