To get into the top .01% in Louisiana you must earn $5,717,205. The average for the top .01% is $15,290,710.
So there's only 465 people in this state making $5.7MM? That seems low.

Middle class in Jersey, but top 1% in Hawaii

you must be one of three people to ever come from White Castle and make it on the 1% list

Here is a better map to help you find out within your state (inside and outside metro areas) where you fall.
What percent are you?
What percent are you?

What are the odds on % of honest responses in this thread vs honest responses in the post your height thread

Jersey has a higher top 1% income than NY? Mind blown

I kind of think that people who think that seems low don't know how to math very well. Which also makes me think that they are overstating their income. 1 out of 100 people is not exactly an uncommon occurrence when you are dealing with millions of people.

Top 12% in NOLA area. Not bad considering my wife can't work full time at her job while she's in school.

I didn't realize that it was a competition.

Yea, the numbers are actually a little higher than I would've expected (and way higher than I expected to see after reading the posts that the amounts seemed low).

I thought TX and CA (actors, entertainers) would be higher

There's sugar mill money still there. Schudmak's are ridiculously wealthy. I had to move elsewhere and marry well.
