Good point. I’ll change it. I think the reason I was so happy was I was knocking back Old Fashions and listening to Bluegrass. This hangover is somewhat limiting my happiness at the moment :/

Don’t know if the word is necessarily “happy” as much as, with age, I’ve learned to be content. I blew through my younger years with the old adage “sleep when you die”. A health scare gave me a ton of perspective on priorities. Ive also learned that, in most situations, I have the power to make positive changes and not languish in a bad position.

The way things are these days, political season never ends.

2019 shouldn't be "political season" since it is not an election year.

I feel like the fog is slowly lifting. I’m happy in my marriage. I’m grateful for the amazing way one of the worst years of our life became one of the best things that could have happened. I love and appreciate my friendships. I also have more faith/belief in God than I’ve ever had in my life.

Oddly yes. I say oddly because I just got played by a girl I really liked but life goes on. I have nothing to complain about with where I am/what I’m doing.

This is the happiest I have ever been in my life. Great wife, great son, disposable income. Life is good.

Some days I’m happy, and some I’m sad. If there weren’t lows, there would be no highs to know what a high is from a low. It’s a roller coaster ride. You just have to hang on.

No offense Dale, but your inability to win a Natty with Chris Jackson, Shaq, Stanley Roberts, Singleton etc would be depressing to me. I’m glad I didn’t squander such talent

They shouldn't be. Nothing really ever changes. Media fear mongering has people uptight, just turn the TV off, avoid internet news sources and they'll be happier.

Couldn’t agree more. Politics only really affects your happiness if you allow it to, and some people are far too engrossed in it that it actually does dictate their mood. Truth is, the only people who really benefit from you getting up in arms over politics to the point where it dictates your life are the news media, and lawyers turned politicians who use you for their own benefit.

You post melts about political subjects almost daily.

Just look at the first page of your thread history. Yikes.

Not politics. I’ve lost all hope for both sides of the aisle. I hope they all die a horrible political death. When I get upset, it’s over stupid nonsense and rotten human beings. But still, when I rant, it’s done. I move on during the day, and forget about the stupid. I have other things in my life that are much ore important than the retards.
