I've seen demos from googles analytics folks at my office (they were selling us something) and it is crazy what these people know. And they sell it to EVERYONE.
Again, that is more intrusive for privacy than the state government knowing I went to eat Blue Oak BBQ on Tuesday. Why does anyone care?
I mean, it is funny to leave fake names and I don't care if others don't participate, I won't shame them. Personally, I just don't see the big deal and do see the benefit for me.

Just a second ago, the Senate approved a bill that makes it legal to go through your internet search history without a warrant. No thank you, and all the Republican senators with the exception of Rand Paul can go frick themselves over that bill.

How?
They want names and phone numbers from what I've read. You give the restaurant your full name when you pay with a credit card. Everyone with access to their system can google you and find anything out they want.
I though this thread was about governments tracking us, not bartenders stealing our identities

No my issue is giving personal info to and being traced by a program that is unregulated and unprotected........by a bunch of idiots.
Why dont they just give us all ankle bracelets...would you be okay with that?

Well that sounds like a total Louisiana way to handle that.
In the county I live in...they are not outsourcing this but hiring more people to do this type of work to the usual group of people that have always done this type of work for various outbreaks in the past here. People hired must be able to commit to full time hours and commit to a year of this work.

If I tested positive that means I was likely symptomatic.....so likely I was at home other than getting tested.

Where I've been? Yes. Who I've been with? No.
I can contact people that I know and tell them I tested positive and they can seek medical attention.
The appropriate agency can issue a public service announcement to alert people who had been in those places they may have come into contact with someone who tested positive.

I'm talking about the 72 hours PRIOR to you having symptoms. They believe you can still be infectious before you show symptoms.
Would you be willing to let them know that?
