Maybe? I mean I’m not worried about it really for myself — and I don’t know if I’d really stay in for 14 days if I felt fine if I was ever called ..

If they already have that info, then what are you worried about?

I don’t think they easily have that info, which is clearly why they are asking for it

I will give them a fake name and number to make them work for my info in order to get it, which they aren’t going to do. They will simply turn in the sign in sheet

This isn’t exactly rocket science Lester

You are acting like restaurants are going to cross reference sit in sheets to credit card receipts to ensures accuracy. It’s laughable

The state can't even get unemployment payments right. What makes us think they will get this right?

Someone determined to do something with your information is going to be able to access a ton of your information with your first & last name, which is on every credit card receipt you’ve ever signed in a restaurant lol

I understand what you think your doing. It’s just totally irrational & pointless.

Restaurants are simply going to turn over their sign in log

If you give them a fake name and number, the state will then not have your info for ever being at that restaurant. This isn’t difficult, but Lester is my friend so don’t make fun of him

You are an idiot

The state and their contract tracing team will not know which restaurants I ate at if I use my credit card. They will not have the means nor the method to do this

However, They will know if I use my actual name and info on the sign in log

It’s very simply Lester

I never said anything about cross referencing hoss

I’m saying people are fearing giving their info out, when outside of corona their names have always appeared on CC receipts as well as when you make a reservation at a restaurant

Fear? Not afraid

But what is a very possible outcome of this?

Someone tests positive at a restaurant you signed up at. Your employer is then notified, and you are forced to remain home away from work for a period of time to quarantine. Seems very plausible, almost likely

No.

If anything, I plan to be disruptive.

I'm going to find out public officials who have had it and litter their names across everything.

Why?

Because it doesn't matter and I refuse to participate in charades.

I think fear or at least concern is warranted over contact tracing. This is a direct sentence from a contact tracing quarantine request form on Washington's state website, keep in mind this is prior to even testing positive:

quote:

If you do not comply with this request for voluntary quarantine we may use a detention order, enforced by the police, to assure your compliance.

ETA: this is also in regards to reporting to a quarantine "site". Their initial documentation makes it seem like they will either try to force people out of or strongly discourage at home quarantine

Little good can come from it. A whole lbunch t or bad can come from it. It's definitely an intrusion on privacy by government.

Frick no, I'm not doing that. To clarify, I would absolutely do it if this disease was killing 2% of those infected, as they were claiming a month ago.

Well that sure sounds like it's voluntary
