Are you feeling your age?

I’m mid 40s and can honestly say I feel at least 90% as physically/athletically capable as when I was in my mid 20s.
How about you baws in your 50s?
My dad could sprint as fast as an average teenager when he was almost 70. It was a family Christmas ritual to race him.

Hangovers are way worse but otherwise it’s pretty much the same.

I couldn’t even do that in my 20s.
I’m still more of a sprinter than a runner.

You're only as old as the women you feel

That’s for damn sure.

I'm 53 and will give you an honest answer.
First of all, congrats on your mid-40's physical prowess. Most men start to lose that around 40. What happens around 50 is totally on another level. Stuff literally starts to break down. Joints become problematic (arthritis), back and neck problems can manifest, you are more susceptible to injury,, and it takes a lot longer to warm up before physical activity.
And don't get me started on my evaporating memory.

my brain tells me I'm younger but my body tells me I'm older
I have the maturity of a 22 year-old but the body of a 40 year old, and my actual age is somewhere in between.

I'm about to turn 60 and do feel my age sometimes. Mostly, it's because my knee has started to bother me a little when I run. I'm venture to say I'm about 85%, physically and athetically, as I was in my mid to late 40's.

47
I rode my bike for 20 miles yesterday, then came home and cut the grass with a lwanmower with a busted self-propel so I had to push it.
I was a little stiff when I got up this morning, but some light stretching fixed that.
Aerobically speaking, I'm probably in the best shape I've been in since my mid-20's. My muscles are defeinitely a lot tighter though. Takes much longer to get them properly stretched.

Yeah, I still feel the same as my 20s mentally and physically (save a couple of past injuries).
It's scary when you see people older by 20 years and wonder when the wheels are going to fall off.
(Edit: closing in on 60 here.)

agree. much more noticeable at 50.
depends on how hard you pushed when you were younger. The miles add up

Yeah...getting up after a lot of activity takes a minute.

My peak of physical fitness was probably 22

I feel my age everyday especially when I go to work and have to deal with all the knuckleheads. I’m nearing retirement, just a couple of more years and I’ll be outta there.

I don't feel much different at 41 than I did at 35. A lot more grey facial hair.
