Not really. Take home would be ~$3726 married in La according to Smartasset paycheck calculator

now add 6% going to a 401k, which would be very modest, and about $250/month for health insurance, and you're down to $3,340/month. And remember that you have other necessary payments that go with that house and car, like insurance, electricity, gas.
It would be impossible to live on $60k/yr with that house note and car note, and i seriously doubt you'd get approved for a house that would run you that much with that salary.
You've have to eat vienna sausage every day and only drink tap water, and have a company phone, don't have cable or internet, and basically never go anywhere but work b/c you have no money to do anything but sit in your $250k house and your $40k car.

House: about that (would be crazy higher if bought now)

CC: higher; working on that

Student loans: higher

Car note: don’t have one (student loan is a car payment)

Salary: higher

if the average american has 1600 house, 700 car note and 6k+ in CC debt, all while making 60k, then holy frick son, you are retarded.

I'm going on a limb here, but most people with a house that isn't a shithole don't buy it on a single income.

We all joke about the salary brags on here, but this board isn't your average American wage earner.

Spend a few hours on the OT and you realize its 95% conservative white male with an average age of ~40 years old and enough free time to jack around on here in the middle of a weekday. As a whole, that demographic might not be averaging $200K, but its not $60K either.

Looks like I am well below average.

Not sure if that is good or bad, but the hobo life seems well in reach

Everything I have is paid for. I have an average size penis. I have no debt and a car that is paid for. I earn only 80k per year.
