Doctors make mistakes, you can find stories daily of people that, "will never recover." There is a point they assume you dead or have to begin harvesting of organs, after that point comes you have zero shot at life. I'd take my chances with the doctor's being wrong, over no chance.

So, I heard this is not an uncommon practice... that if you have "organ donor" status on your card, and you are in a bad spot after a wreck, they are more apt to letting things slide to get your organs.
frick that. I would rather not be an organ donor even if my odds are only 1% worse, regarding that scenario.
