It's hard for me to be addicted to a flip phone that can be used as a weapon in hand-to-hand combat.

Take a look around campus, around 80% of people are constantly looking down at their phones while walking. Amazed more people don't run into light poles, curbs, etc. Should set up an obstacle course where you have to send several emails while performing various tasks

Yep, though I hate to admit it. But I can have a lot of downtime at work, and usually frick around on here to pass the time.

Since I have Kindle app on my phone and love to read...that's another reason I'm on my phone a lot now. I have downtime at work or have to wait a long period of time somewhere...I'm usually reading on my phone.

Yes I am. I have a series of things I do when I turn my phone on (check email, check facebook, check TD, etc) and I don't even think about it. I must do it 500 times a day. If that's not an addiction I don't know what is

I can quit any time I want to......

I find myself on it more than what I used to be, but I wouldn't care if cell phones disappeared. Unlike most of my generation feels (I'm 30), just sitting in the backyard on a cool spring evening is relaxing, not boring.

90% of the time I don't know I have it on me, but the times I have left it at home, it's about all I can think about.

So I guess you know when people are going to be calling you?

More addicted to it than I have been to anything else.
I know I'd be better off without it, but I still do it/use it. That's pretty much the definition of an addiction, right?

I'm glad there were no phones in my school days.

I don't know if addicted is the right word, but as a salaried employee, I am required to have it near me at all times.
