That's fine. I hope he does.
But he's already almost won American Idol, played numerous concerts (including the Opry I believe), and is going on tour. Sounds like he's doing okay so far considering his career is like six months old.

You realize comedians are playing the Opry now, right?
There’s a reason guys like him are playing now. It’s because the big names don’t want to. They make more money playing their own show than they would at the Opry.
Playing that stage doesn’t hold the weight it did 20 years ago.
Also, he’s not on tour. He’s playing local festivals around the region. He’s also doing nothing but cover songs.
A career that is six months long should’ve at least produced a record. It did when Idol was a real show on tv that had value.

He is only doing covers right now, but he is pretty good at what he plays. I am not a huge country music fan, but he plays the type of country music I grew up with.. George Strait, Allen Jackson.. I like his cover of Neon Moon. And do you not think he does a good job covering those songs?

Didn’t say that but doing more than covers and trying to mimic other artists wouldn’t hurt.
