Are we too freely giving up our finger prints for security?

I am not scared of big government as much as I am the use of finger print to access things (phone, apps, banking apps, and etc)
Watching gameday and Baker Mayfield access facility with finger print.
Basically it seems like fingerprint could be the next social security number yet we are spreading it toany different applications that could be compromised.
Example how secure is system that saves
Baker Mayfield fingerprint?
Is this a tech board question?

Yes but password security is such a pain in the arse that for most of us it’s oh well..

It will be retinal/blood/voice/facial scan in the future.
Fingerprints are too easy to replicate.

Maybe some combination?
The embedded chips likely not to take off right
So basically fingerprints will never be the end game enjoy the current time savings

Are you afraid that someone is going to cut off your fingers to access your phone?

I am scared that I am giving up whatever coded information is in my finger tip to access stupid shite.
That info will be hacked, and if fingertips are then used for financial stuff I will be compromised

People are willfully giving their DNA to places, who could be storing it for Government. And keeping it on file.
Is it really worth finding out if ur 1/25th Polish, to let some one have ur DNA????

They've already got my prints between my TWIC card and my concealed license

THIS. My fingerprint, am iris scan or a picture of my face is already “visible” to the public. It’s just an ID feature. Not big deal. But DNA is more than that. It tells things about me’ like health issues, that aren’t anyone’s business. I draw the line at willingly letting anyone having and cataloging it.
