Are we seeing the rise of the future Antichrist?

Yeah I know. Tinfoil hats and all. And religious nut-jobs, etc….
But as an evangelical Christian, I do believe there will be a singular man who the Bible describes as the Antichrist in the last few years before Jesus returns. If the Second Coming of Christ is near (perhaps in the next 10-20 years or so), has this notorious figure entered the world’s public eye yet? According to my understanding, this man will be very popular and very powerful. So much so as to deceive and lead the entire world.
If I’m correct, and if this man is already a known public figure, who are some of the plausible candidates?
(InB4 you don’t believe in the Bible, etc. if that’s all you have to say)
