I have a trifold because I couldn't find a floating credit card holder.
My flowfold floats with all my cards in it.

i have a watch, wedding band and a wallet/phone case that holds a $100 bill, sams membership card, 2 ccs and my license.

Tri-folds are what you get a middle schooler for their first wallet because you know they won't be keeping much cash in it for years.
