This is going to be absurd to watch play out, where every little thing that happens will be attributed to Trump, despite these things happening since the dawn of time.

Don't care

No, Trump is socially liberal.
Unless they are hear illegally or were let in without being vetted they have nothing to worry about and in a couple of years will have more money in their pockets, safer boarders, new technologies and a great sense of american pride.

8 years of Obama and his policies have been very bad for inner cities and minorities.

I'm concerned because CNN said mass deportation of Mexicans would commence on Jan 7th. Everyone is scrambling to find a real estate agent in San Diego and Brownsville so they don't lose the equity they built up in their home. It's Mugabe all over again just in the US this time.

Thanks. It looks like attacks against mosques are up but hate crimes in general against muslims don't seem to be trending upwards. There are periodic spikes around domestic terrorist attacks, but still compared to Western Europe we exhibit less Islamaphobia.

well if things are getting worse then its happened on Obamas watch. so blame him for now.

A Jewish friend of mine, huge liberal, flipped his shite late Tuesday night claiming Trump is a fascist and you know what fascists do, they go after the Jews. Then said he is seriously considering leaving the country.
I guess he thinks everyone that was good friends with him will suddenly turn on him and his life is in danger.
It's really strange, he's a very bright person about most things, so this reaction was definitely not expected.

How so? I have the perception that things haven't improved in those communities (except for the Medicaid expansion) but don't have any statistics or metrics to prove they are actually worse.

Mugabe only went after people who were there illegally?

I had a Jewish buddy send me an email asking if we could get a beer so I could ease his nerves.
I mean, I'm happy to to pledge allegiance with any people who are genuinely fearful of the new administration, but such fear is pretty stupid. I don't get the Jewish angle at all, at least with Trump himself.
The problem is that a bunch of alt-right and serious white nationalists have filled up Facebook and twitter feeds with jewish slurs and oven jokes. Which really has nothing to do with Trump, a guy who has spent his entire life in the epicenter of American-Jewish culture.

Yes he ousted all of the Caucasian and Asian farmers from their properties. They weren't natives of the country.

So he only removed people from the country who were in his country illegally? Or did he remove people who were legal citizens/residents? Trump is only proposing deporting people who are in the country illegally from what I understand.

Mugabe did this. If I remember right it was that he removed white farmers and then later the Indian diaspora that had settled there.

That's not going to happen, so what are you concerned about?
Van Jones said it was absolutely going to happen and that people of Latino origin needed to prepare for their future because we were all getting deported. I trust Van Jones over some anonymous person on the internet for facts.

You obviously are far removed from this problem. Van Jones & CNN are reporting facts not speculation or conjecture. I was told to buy Re/Max stock due to the Latino housing migration out of the US. Real estate agents are going to make a fortune with this Latino equity strip.

Especially Van Jones, who is super emotional about the results...and a democrat.
