Getting tats is the dumbest thing I've done in my life, and I have done a lot of dumb shite in my life.

Those nice geometric patterns are going to look like a Cosby sweater someday.

I just don't understand how anyone can want the same damn thing on their arm their entire life? Sure, some tats can very sexy. But looking at them every day all day forever? Hell no. One or two small ones, sure that's cool we all make bad decisions. I can live with that.
Like a henna tattoo or something that came off after awhile? Sure that's sexy. A bouquet of random flowers on your entire arm at 27? Why would you think you want to look at that for 50 years?
Most of the women that do those crazy tats are the same ones that change their crazy hair every month. 8 hairstyles in one year, but you want the same tats all your life?

not to highjack but generally speaking, you know what you are getting into with the tats and you have been warned, there is a whole lotta unpredictable crazy in what is "more your speed"...

My primary care physician has sleeves on both arms. She is a new age flower child, heavy into yoga meditation and quality nutrition. She is a fantastic doctor, she's in her second year of private practice post residency. She takes her time and works with patients willing to make lifestyle changes. She told me those who won't change their lifestyle, she tells them that in good faith she can't be their primary care and she refers them out.
Her lobby is always busy (with health conscious people and their children).
ETA: she doesn't accept insurance, however her office will print out a super bill for the patient to submit themselves for reimbursement. Smart move.

A wise man once told me, "If a woman has one tattoo, that means she puts out. If she has two or more, that means shes a slut."

I would not allow a doctor who makes those types of poor decision to manage my health.

Not necessarily. I know a few who don't fall into that category.

ink is not trashy
it is just a general sign that those people, especially with sleeves and face ink, lack a fundamental vision into the future. they see the now. it looks awesome now. they dont even think about how terrible it will look in 40 years when they are old and saggy like the rest of their counterparts.
as such, you enjoy them in the now with no looking to the future.

Why does this matter? Everyone looks like shite when they're old, tattoos or not. Plus, how much skin is an old person showing anyway? Do you worry about the consequences 40 years in the future when making other decisions?
