Are there people that really aren’t leaving their house?

I’ve been playing golf almost everyday and the ol’ lady and I have gone for long hikes at various places outside of town.

I keep hearing small comment from friends, neighbors, co-workers, and people on this site how stir crazy people are getting being sheltered in place.

Personally I think this early retirement thing is pretty great.

As long as you are being paid, it's fine. But a lot of people aren't.

My wife’s not getting paid, but that’s not the point of my post. Golf at the city courses are free and hikes are free too, genius.

The point was the fact there are people out there that really think they can’t walk off their property.

Many people want to believe that so they have an excuse for laying on the couch doing nothing.
There's plenty to do if a person is willing.

and they have completely bought into the nonstop fear mongering on television and social media.

With fear being used, these are the same people who would give up all of their rights if the TV news man and Facebook told them to.

I know some elderly people that haven’t left their house in at least two weeks. Other than that I haven’t noticed a big difference between shelter in place and normal life.

My Mother-in-law hasn’t left her house (other than her back yard) in a hair over 2-weeks. She is 70 and has had some medical issues in the past that makes her terrified about getting COVID. She’s pretty miserable as she normally is quite active but this has her too scared to go anywhere.

My girlfriend was giving me some shite for going run on the neutral ground because that doesn’t fit “shelter in place”. I told her to frick off.

I went to Baton Rouge this morning, crossed the Mississippi River Bridge and have never saw as little traffic as I did today. It felt weird. So based off of that, if people are leaving they are not going far.
