I collect rocks or shells from wherever I go. I started doing it as a child for my great gram for her rock garden but now I do it for my own rock garden.
Some restaurants/stores have those really nice rocks in their landscaping so can't help but pick up one or two of them.

I'm famously cheap and not embarrassed to admit it. Yall can suck my dick when I retire at 50
Normal: paying the nominal fee for ice at a gas station or bait shop
Cheap: bagging ice in your freezer over the course of the week and bringing it in your ice chest
Trashy: stealing from a hotel
You aren’t cheap, you’re trashy.

The water he uses to flush the toilet and wash his hands. As well as the electricity in the bathroom
Same as the water and electricity that is used to make the frozen water in the ice maker.

It's not boulders or anything. Just interesting river rocks or roundish rocks that are golf ball sized.
However, there was that time I collected about 50 lbs of rocks on a 3 week vacation. My bf proved himself to be a keeper when he carried them from the hotel room down to the truck.
I don't want fancy souvenirs from trips we take, I'm happy with my rocks. It's a win/win

Same...I have a couple of dozen rocks and I remember the time and place that I picked up every single one of them. Some are actually very cool.

Back when Pizza Hut had a all you can eat salad, two would buy and the other two got salad free. There's a one way street in front of the school here. During non school hours I go the wrong way, its a short cut. Have used this while the grandkids are in the car. When they were with their parents, they would say go this way mommy. Mom would say that's illegal, its a one way. Grandkids would chime in, pappy does it all the time. Maybe I'm not a good role model. And the youngest grandson would always sing "Breaking the Law, Breaking the law", by Iron Maiden.

Stealing ice - that’s pretty low

Eh. Most of the folks condemning me probably do the same type of shite. Using the restroom at a gas station when you're supposed to purchase something but you dont is the same thing
Rationalizing a crime you've committed habitually by saying "others probably did it doesn't make it any less of a crime. Nor does it make you any less of a piece of shite.

A former friend (when he was building a house about 15 years ago) would go to establishments that had nice landscaping and steal their plants - stealing plants at night is a new low. Just like that ice stealing MF

I stop. Look both ways. Then run a red light. Doesn’t matter how big the intersection. I run red lights ALL the time. It’s fricking stupid to wait if nobody is coming.

I drive in Houston traffic daily. My list of traffic infractions is on average of 3-5 per day.

Well you are no different than a Walmart shoplifter.

quote:These self-service ice shacks around LP sell 20 lbs bulk ice for like $2.00. So, 40 lbs of ice would run you $4.00/week. Over 2 years, that's over $400.
According to wired ice costs 1.26 cents per kg in electricity to make. So roughly .57 cents per pound.
2 years at 50 lbs a week would only be like $30 in electricity.
a-hole.
