700 block. I definitely enjoy it but it’s a little farther down Mag than I really wanted to live.

A lot of professionals without children live downtown but there is also a bunch of people from around the country that own condos they use occasionally throughout the year.

And where do these people work who can afford these places?
There's nothing but hotels, restaurants and condos. You can make that kind of dough working that?

I have a few higher up co-workers that live in some of the condos because we get paid pretty good living expenses.

I hadn’t been to New Orleans in a couple years but it always amazes me how many new upscale restaurants are constantly opening there. There is always a handful of hot, new, trendy restaurants opening up. I don’t know how they do it or make it and stay open for any length of time. But, it’s seems most of them do. My sister tried to get reservations at Peche a few weekends back and they were booked solid all weekend. They were able to walk in and they fit them in, but they’re still kicking arse

Banking jobs, accounting firms, lawyers, doctors, engineering firms, tech firms ect.

There are actually legitimate jobs downtown New Orleans even though some plant worker from Denham Springs who post on here tells you there’s not.

Da fuq?

That’s crazy talk to me. Audubon area is the most sought after real estate in the city.

Absolutely, there are. But not nearly enough for a city of its size and definitely pales in comparison with Nashville, Austin and Tampa.

I mostly wish I was a little closer to some more bars within walking distance. I have Monkey Hill, which sucks and St. Joes (only been once). Other ones are a little over 2 miles, which when you have been drinking, is a little too far.

I was at Monkey Hill for the first half of Saints game Sunday. That place was a ghost town, lol.

St. Joe’s is a quaint little date spot.

Cooter Browns is a $5 Uber ride from you. I live in the area and that’s my Goto spot.

I may stop at Monkey Hill after work on a Friday before going elsewhere but the place sucks.

I've gone to Cooter's a few times and like it. I pretty much Uber whenever I go drinking but it would be nice if I had a place I liked within walking distance. Although, it's probably a good thing I don't have that because I'd stop in every night after work which would make the 4 am alarms suck even worse.

A lot of out of towners buy them to travel there. My building is completely occupied and rarely has more than 15% occupancy at any given time.
