e. I have Monkey Hill, which sucks and St. Joes (only been once). Other ones are a little over 2 miles, which when you have been drinking, is a little too far.
Monkey Hill sucks plus it’s a college bar. I’ve gone to watch a few games but yeah it blows.
St Joes is fun during Mardi Gras to run in a get a Fireball shot or what not, or a quiet little place to grab a drink.
You have Henry’s and Brothers III down the street you should give a try.

My building is completely occupied. With that said only about half the people are there full time. Of the full time residents, about half are doctors/medical.

You’re full of shite. The Warehouse District is hopping. It may not be full of tourist like the French Quarter but to say it’s a ghost town is just ridiculous Open your eyes. There are a shite load of new restaurants, hotels, condos, bars, etc. the area is booming. You’re a retard
A little defensive huh? Are you one of those guys that crime only happens in the hood?

My sister and her husband have a condo down there, but they only go about 6 times a year.

Everyone says Monkey Hill is a college bar, and maybe it was years ago, but every time I have gone I am by far the youngest person in the bar (30).
I've been to Big Cheezy and starred into Henry's but never gone on a weekend. Have not heard of Brothers III, may have to check it out next weekend.

Monkey Hill is dead/older crowd until about 10pm and then it gets packed with Tulane kids

Banking jobs, accounting firms, lawyers, doctors, engineering firms, tech firms ect.
There are actually legitimate jobs downtown New Orleans even though some plant worker from Denham Springs who post on here tells you there’s not.
Yep. Like others have said, there are a decent amount of good jobs. Lot's of old Nola money still floating around too.
And many people from out of state buy them and use them as 2nd homes or plan to retire here.
My friends with condos there also said many people they have met may live in Nola part time and are able to work remotely so it doesn't matter if they are based in another state.

come on in bro. We don’t bite. Lots of locals and regulars. Cool bar to watch a game and get sloppy.

I'll give them a try maybe next Friday night. Henry's is an easy walk plus a few restaurants I can pop into for a to-go drink on the walk.

Friday nights are usually pretty lit in there. Happy hour leftovers are usually still hanging around.

I would agree with the OP. I work downtown and cut through that area often, and it does not seem like people live there at all
I'd call that well planned growth
