Only one we've been to is Sandals Negril last summer. Went with 5 other couples and had a blast. They bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your stay, especially if one of you has a butler suite. Food was great. Met some great people there.
I've done a Carnival Cruise and will never do that again. This was significantly better
Food was great at the restaurants. Downside was the drinks are very watered down.

We went to a very nice resort in Turks and Caicos for our honeymoon, but I'm not paying that again and really want to go back.
Might give the Sandals there a shot. We walked around it and it seemed really tame to a place like Jamaica or something. Not crowded at all.

About to be going to Sandals in Montego Bay for my honeymoon. Getting a badass butler suite.. I promise, I won't give one rat's arse of your opinion of Sandals while I'm having drinks brought to me and relaxing on the beach
Congratulations!
I did this at 24 years old, and it was awesome. Warning, if they are making the cake, it will be terrible. But you'll be too loaded to care.
And your butler can find you ANYTHING you want if you ask for it. Including non red stripe beer.

Would you be happy if you went to Sandals? Focus on that instead of what people will judge you for.
You'll never win the judgement game because unhappy people will always find a reason to bring you down so they can make themselves feel better.

You're right. You should absolutely not care what other people think. Enjoy your time with your beautiful new wife!
You do realize this is standard practice?

We went to one in st Lucia for our honeymoon. There one guy who looked like he was from Lafayette with his white oakleys and affliction board shorts. Other than that, everyone was pretty normal. We had a lot of fun, but the food was pretty bad. That's to be expected though with the price.

Nice, we are doing the same thing this Summer.

I've been to the one in Whitehouse Jamaica and thought it was nice. The beach was so-so, but the food was good as were the drinks. All of the staff were friendly and it wasn't crowded at all (probably because we went smack dab in the middle of hurricane season). If you wanted to, you could hang out on the beach without being anywhere near anybody else, and with 3 or 4 pools (can't remember) you could easily avoid any trash you run across. For most of our trip there were maybe 20-30 people out at the main pool which is very large.
The shows are underwhelming. We went to one and didn't go back. They are worse than the shows on a cruise ship. As far as nightlife, there was a martini bar that would stay open late. We did that one or two nights, but it was difficult to get a drink because the bar was so small.
The free scuba diving was a plus. The dives would probably be unimpressive to an experienced diver but my wife and I had never dived before so we enjoyed them.

Had a good friend go to one with their SO.
They enjoyed it. They said they'd probably wouldn't go back though

Everything is trashy on the OT.
Posting? Trashy.
Marriage? Trashy.
Divorce? Trashy.
Banging a one legged midget stripper who was a former national merit finalist but now bleaches her anus? Idk...we need an OT ruling...

I'm asking for opinions because if it's a trashy place with trashy people and shitty food, I'm probably not going to enjoy my time there.

Went to one of them in St. Lucia a few years ago and had a helluva time. I didn't notice any of the cruise crowd, but I stayed so drunk it wouldn't have bothered me either way.

i've been to excellence resorts a couple times in cancun. I have zero complaints about being on an all inclusive adult only do nothing but drink and well you know all week long vacation. I couldn't give a rats arse about the other people there are what the OT thinks. its awesome.

I prefer a Royal Caribbean cruise to an all inclusive. The ships and clientele are way nicer and the entertainment is no comparison. I went to The Royal Bahamian in Nassau. Was real run down and even saw a roach on the sushi bar. My wife prefers all inclusive places but she likes the ones in Mexico. She doesn't feel safe there anymore. I quit sailing Carnival years ago.

You guys who pretend to be ballers are amusing.

It's a good place for married men to bring their 24 YO gf for a long weekend of boning in paradise without breaking the bank.

Absolutley.
For those who can't afford to go.
Makes them feel better about being poor.

I can't be certain, but it seems that your interpretation of "baller" is very different that mine, and likely much of the populace.
