What say you OT?

I've heard them compared to cruises in terms of trashiness.

Yes, I know:

"why do you care what people think!?!?"

"This is no place for questions!"

Sandals Montego Bay wasn't great.

Sandals Ochos Rios was actually very nice.

That's what I assumed. Because they are so cheap, anyone can go.

So then you're stuck on vacation with the same type of people who make Walmart an unbearable place to shop.

Seems like you've already made up your mind then.

Michael Scott went to Sandals once. Tan everywhere. Jan everywhere.

I don't think you know what that means. Thank you for your insightful post.

You asked a question and then answered it. Sorry that you need people on the internet to make decisions for you.

My nephew went to the one in Jamaica for his honeymoon. His trashy wife's grandparents gave it to them as their wedding gift. The pics & videos he sent me looked like a real life episode of The Office. The had some tech conference there at the same time so he said the place was full of fat weirdos wearing their tropical shirts and SPF90 sunscreen.

No, not at all. At least not in Ochos Rios.

And no one is making you be "stuck" with anyone. Get off the resort you lazy frick.

The people of wal mart weren't noticeable at the resort, and they sure didn't follow us onto the boat, or horseback riding, or shopping, or hiking. The only time we even associated with other people (other than Jamaicans) were at dinner meals.

If you can't enjoy an open bar resort (stocked with only appletons and red stripe ) with a nice white sand beach and nature in every direction for miles around you, the location and other patrons are probably not the problem.

Trashy but not as trashy. The cruise is like waiting in line to check out. You can't get away from those fricks. The resort is more like shopping. At least you can move to another area.

Sandals is nothing like a cruise IMO.

They may not be the nicest resorts in the world, but they are worlds better than a Carnival ship.

Makes sense. So it's trashy but you can isolate yourself and escape the trashiness.

About to be going to Sandals in Montego Bay for my honeymoon. Getting a badass butler suite.. I promise, I won't give one rat's arse of your opinion of Sandals while I'm having drinks brought to me and relaxing on the beach

If you are going to do all inclusive, there are better choices for the money...
