Are recliners trashy?

Obviously recliners are acceptable in a bonus room, but is having a recliner in your main family room (living room, den, whatever you call it) trashy?

I wouldn't say they are trashy, but they are certainly not fancy. They make some that are dressed up a little with some feet, etc. that look pretty good.

We bought a recliner when we first got married. Recently purchased new furniture and the wife said no to a new one. We got a big chair and big ottoman. That ottoman stayed dirty with people putting their feet up.
We now have a recliner again.

Yes. Ottoman in front of the love seat is required for reclining in a classy manner.

Recliners are classy AF. Nothing says pure class like a recliner and marble columns
