Lot of times when the do this the seal is alive. And they will take it back on the beach when they’re done “playing” with it and let it go They’re truly fascinating animals and are extremely intelligent. Top predator in the ocean for a reason. I always enjoy the videos of divers coming across them in the wild. You can see the orcas just examining humans. They don’t mess with us though.

They'll flip a harbor seal 50' in the air just for fun.

They’ve been known to pull air breathing animals deep underwater multiple times just to toy with it before killing it. They’re sadistic

In the full clip they just hang out with the swimmer for like 5 minutes.

Guess how many attacks on humans by orcas have happened in the wild?

I saw a video the other day of one swimming under a manta ray, and once passing he slapped the ray for no reason resulting in its death. I’ve seen videos of Orcas killing seals and, instead of eating them, just flipping them up in the air right in front of all the other seals on the beach.

I mean, sounds like people right?

Picture this, you, a highly intelligent animal, are abducted by some possibly smarter fish people. They bring you to the ocean and put you in a 15X15 box filled with air that's completely dark and occasionally let you into another air filled box with lights and fish people all around the glass watching trainers make you do tricks for your food. I'd kill as many fish people as it took to escape

Adding to my above point, how many orca attacks on humans in the wild have ever been recorded in human history? The answer is zero. Orcas, dolphins and several other whale species seem to recognize some form of intelligence in man

Some? They can literally speak to each other and have massive brains somewhat comparable to ours.. I’m always confused at how orca/dolphin/whale intelligence is vastly underestimated just because they live in water and we have no concept of that type of living

Looks like we found the orcafricker, baws!

Actually, it’s one. A surfer off the coast of California was attacked in the 1970s by an orca but survived. Likely a case of mistaken identity.

It’s been documented that great white sharks will clear out of an area if orcas show up.

And the ones that don't will wish they had.

Guide we fished with in Alaska says they will pop their heads out of the water and squeak at him sometimes.

Dial that back.

There's videos of them hunting north africans that are floating to europe.

And they started attacking boats a while back too.
