Never heard of cloud shoes. Who makes them? The pillow guy?

They cut off the circulation on the top of my foot. Hurt like hell.

I like them and I actually think they wear longer than most running shoes others seem to break down faster

I was getting the Brooks Ghosts but recently switched to the Hokas. Great so far.

I actually swear by Hoka and Altra - both have been industry disruptors and both are phenomenal shoes (as a big trail runner I use Altra more, but Hoka has a step up on comfort and speed)

ETA: for all of you Brooks wearers - I only wore Brooks before moving over to Altra and Hoka as well. (OC would be more of a "daily commuter" for me, one I would wear for normal every day activities - being in IT I'm on my feet and walking a lot similar to say, a nurse)

I’m wearing that exact Clifton down to the color scheme right now. Perfect shoe imo. PS they’re on sale for $111 right now at running warehouse and Zappos.

As a perk for an award trip this year, we had a shoe company come to our hotel in Boston and do 3d scans of everyone’s feet. We got to pick from brooks, hokas, and a few other brands for running shoes.

On clouds were nowhere to be seen. It’s a status symbol

Not that comfortable. I tried several on, and none of them have that soft/comfy feel at all. Wife got some b/c they're trendy and they're easy to slip on.

Some of them definitely look good.

There is no way I’d ever put a pair of those dorky arse Hokas on my feet. I have an image to maintain.

what exactly do you mean when you say they don't last or don't hold up?

I wore these out and about, and after a few months they looked like I’d had th for years. Lining was split at the heel, outside was frayed and tattered at places. Soles were faded.

They were no more comfortable/breathable than any other athletic shoe I’ve worn for casual use.

The soles constantly have rocks stuck in them due to the pillow shapes. Exposed foam on the sole is a slip hazard, and the rubber wears down after 1-2 months.

They are trendy but not worth the hype if you are simply looking for a comfortable daily shoe.

But they really aren't that comfortable and don't last that long.
Just looked up the prices on the On Clouds. $150-190 for a pair of walking shoes? Yeah, frick that.

For that much money, they better be unbelievably comfortable and durable.

I’m not sure who would think On Clouds were status shoes but I did get a good laugh
Well, if you drop $150-$190 on a pair of walking shoes, it kinda does.

I ran in Brooks shoes in the 70's. I thought the quality of them went down in the 80's, so I quit buying them. In the 90's Wolverine bought them , and I heard they started making good shoes again. Back then Wolverine was best known for making Hush Puppies.

Just looked it up. Brooks is now owned by Berkshire Hathaway.

Wolverine now owns a Brooks competitor, Saucony shoes.

My old crippled up butt can't run anymore. At 64, I wear nothing but New Balance or dress shoes.

I use to always think these ugly things were a Payless type shoe until someone schooled me on how much they are.
Yeah, I’d been seeing them for a while and didn’t even know the name of them. I had to ask a friend that had some.

Too “trendy” for me. Everyone has them, so I won’t get them, unless they were incredibly comfortable and durable. But I’m a tightwad on some things, and I have a hard time paying $150-$190 for tennis shoes, although I can easily afford it.
