If people aren’t suing for not being able to work , they will bring suits bc they got corona when business / schools etc should have been closed . Either way it’s Coming

Any such suits will be thrown out in motions practice, BAW.

I hope because being a lawyer right now sucks on that end. Can’t go to court and trying to find new clients in this climate is a battle in futility. I billed like 15 hours this week and will likely bill less next week. Can’t eat with no work

There's your first mistake, you dont know jack shite unless you're an epidemiologist or a hospital administrator getting reports from them.

I didnt say anything regarding the virus/disease getting better/worse.

When enough people get tired of staying home it wont matter what hospital administrators or epidemiologists say.

Maybe suing insurance companies for coverage on business interruption policies, but not much more than that. Most courts are going to defer to the executive in emergency situations.

Yep. All losers...

I think yes. Also made me think.

Doctors and nurses have been on the front lines, putting themselves and their families in danger daily, not caring about money. Selfless.
K-12 teachers flipped their script and built online school out of nothing, because they wanted to help their kids. Selfless. Small business owners & service industry people are the worst off now, insecure work In insecure conditions, yet it’s really bringing out human kindness with tips & all those other stories you are.

The vulture lawyers are biding their time, waiting this for to be over so they can create lawsuits and be self-serving. This selfless and helping hand culture that’s come from coronavirus will be destroyed by money grubbing bastards that stir the pot when the dust settles. People will quit being selfless when they’re tempted to get rich. I think we’ll see many people suing the employer that’s trying to help them now, suing their governments like you mentioned, etc.

TLDR : Probably, was but true.

I would say some “constitutional” lawyers will have several suits filed especially if anyone is arrested due to being stopped at a checkpoint like in FL.

Truthfully it needs to happen and should be taken to the USSC.

Money is what motivates people to sue. Sure there a few exceptions.

This virus is going to have a huge impact on worker’s compensation claims. People can get exposed anywhere. In general, viruses, such as flu, etc. are denied because it’s impossible to prove your only exposure came on the job. I think most insurance companies are taking a similar stance on this. But I think that stance is going to get turned upside down by government.

I sure hope you are correct bc they shouldn’t be making money off of this uncontrollable situation. If they sue anyone, it should be China.
