Only by people who don't know when to stop selling king cakes. If you get a hankering for a king cake and can't find one just go buy some cinnamon rolls.

Try Walmart.
They have some left over from Mardi Gras on clearance.
They got a large shipment from some bakery wholesaler in Jefferson Parish. It looks like a brick covered in colored sugar and frosting.
At my local store they are going for about 3 dollars for a full sized king cake that usually is 10 dollars.
