Thats not a bachelor/bachelorette party. Joint makes it just another party and there nothing special about it. Whats the point?

It means one of them already cheated or one knows the other is going to cheat so they can keep an eye on them.

What cruise is $1200 per person?

I don't know anything about cruises. Is that alot? I assume that everyone is chipping in for the bride and groom. What about booze packages?

Hey atleast she won't blow a stripper

It’s a ton for a cruise unless he’s adding in airfare. 10-14 night cruises in the Mediterranean go for 1200-1800.
Even with airfare it’s a shitload to spend on a cruise per person

Yes. I went on one last year and it was god awful. It's pretty apparent why it was a co-ed party--the bride-to-be is extremely jealous and insecure. There was no way she was going to let her fiancé go on a party by himself.

It seems as or more likely to me that the bride cheated and got away with it and is projecting her own sins on her groom in the form of insecurity.

I've heard of the joint thing and it can be cool in the right situation and done right... but asking someone to pay 1,200 for the party plus all the money they are no doubt shelling out for being in the wedding is insane..... boooo these people

That's a stupid idea.
So begins this young man's life of getting cucked.

I had a bachelor party last year in Cancun and it ended up being about $1,000 after flights, all inclusive, and clubs. We had a blast, but...
Not going to lie, I was pretty annoyed at how inconsiderate it was. We had guys in the party that were only a few years out of college and $1,000 trip for a weekend is pretty absurd (aka definitely not in their budget).
It was a good lesson that, while we had a blast, to force your friends' hands in spending that much is in bad taste.
A $1,200 cruise also fits that bill unless there are some unique circumstance (e.g., the entire wedding party is best friends).

So true. Are they paying for a penthouse suite that they all split? Spending a ton on the cruise bedroom or an 'ocean view' always makes me

frick that. No way I would go to a debacle like that.
One of them is insecure as frick, marriage won't last. Tell your friend not to spend too much on wedding gift.

All details have been dispensed.
No downvotes and no pics of prospective bride. Chill.

and a sign of major insecurity.
While this is the most likely scenario, it's also a possibility that either the bride or groom has some other issue that warrants them not being left to their own devices. What if one of them is a recovering alchie or pillhead (on the low) and without their partner at a party with an "anything goes" atmosphere they are at a greater risk of relapse?
But yeah, 99% chance homegirl caught the guy drunk messaging a girl on Snapchat.
