Someone has to keep them in check when they start disrespecting patches they didn't earn.

ETA: also it feels really, really good

I guess the locals finally caught on. Mercedes has been doing this for centuries:

Yep. Nailed it. Mods get rolled into the financing. Motorcycle dealers have been doing it for YEARS. I'm surprised it's taken this long for the car guys to catch up.

Also if the dealer does the mods then they will honor your factory warranty at that dealership. Go to an aftermarket shop and pay less for mods but good luck using your power train warranty.

we are all different. its amaZing.

I see them down by the creek here. Adults, kids. motorcycles, big trucks. small trucks. Childs play. getting all dirty and making noise and feeling the power.

the creek has a huge area that overflows in storms and leaves mud and puddles for the truck/motorcycle baws.

Meh, all depends on the equity going in and THE interest rate.

If I'm getting under 3%, I don't mind ordering a heavily discounted set of tires at time of sale.

I'm the type of guy who doesn't even get floormats from the dealer. Amazon.

I've used getting a set of 35s at dealer cost as a bartering chip for whether I was going to walk out before.

That's amazing that with those modifications the manufacturer will still honor warranty. Just the wheels alone will cause premature steering and bearing failures.

...which leads to a fatal accident---a lawsuit in the making.

I assume the dealership, after adding aftermarket parts, would require a legal document be signed abstaining them from any and all accountability for accidents that arise from the modifications.

The dealer is nuts for doing this (if it is not authorized by corporate).

Goes back to at least the latte 1960s, they were called "dealer installed options". There were several engine options available only when installed be the dealer, I seem to r3emember that was the only way to get a 427 in a Camero. The dealer would order and swap out the brand new Camero engine for a in the crate 427.

Back in the 80's the dealers around me sold new truck and vans with mods done by Choo Choo Customs. I used to buy truck seats from them for $100. Then the dealers started ordering trucks without seats so that cut me out.

6" lift is insane. I used to sell Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep and we'd usually have one or two dealer custom jobs on the lot. We had a guy who was already to go to a used car lot and get a Wrangler with a 4" lift. I let him take a ride in one we had with a 2 1/2" lift and it was hard enough for him to handle. He wound up custom ordering one without any lift at all.
