I was there too but didn't run out either. I'm just not calling it lame. I don't know why people get embarrassed by or laugh at rushing the field. It wasn't a scrub team, it was an old rival in a dream season. 
That night was tiger stadium the way people here are saying it used to be. Still is.

TBH, I wouldn't run onto the field for any win against any team but I also don't care that much overall so I'm the wrong person to ask.

Same. I was sitting in the student section of the 97 Florida game. My friend(another girl) and I could sense the chaos about to erupt at the end of that game. We left a few minutes early to avoid getting stampeded on by other students rushing the field.

I went on the field after that game so I agree. Going on the field after a big game is fun, why the frick wouldn’t I join in? Like I’m concerned about what it looks like to someone else

I don't recall if there were any games where people rushed the field while I was in the student section.
I do remember playing Tennessee (?) and it was thought that we lost, but they had too many men on the field and we ended up winning in our final play. (I have no idea what I'm talking about so this might be wrong) And everyone threw their drinks in the air in celebration so we all left wet and sticky
