Dogs at least understand commands, fetch, guard a house/alert you while sleeping, and piss and shite outside.
I know good cats probably exists but I haven’t come across many.

Cats are the worst pets ever.
Smell horrible, shed like crazy, too noisy and destroy your property using anything as a scratching post, including your trim moulding and doors.
Most are either schizophrenic or hide from you and make shitty companions or pets. The rare case of a cool cat does not make up for all the shitty qualities they naturally possess.
Dogs are much better pets, and it is not even remotely close.
Can't stand cats.

A dog doesn't need a litter box. It'll do what what you want. A cat just does what a cat wants to do.
