Most boomers think “millennial” and automatically picture a 13 year old kid with his/her face staring at an his/her iPhone while listening to pop music.

I'm not quite a Boomer and yes. I do know the correct age range for millennials. But you really can't throw darts because millennials have been running around saying okay Boomer to everybody over 40

Let's be honest. Any way I would have posted this topic, I was going to get bashed regardless.

no they’re not

Not "a world away" different, but definitely pretty different.

That's kinda the whole joke.

If a well reasoned and rational take gets bashed, those people are dumb. No one is dumb for bashing the route you took though.

seems silly to think that someone that remembers a time without internet wouldn't any different from someone that has never known life without it

especially considering the internet is the most culturally significant thing that has happened in modern times

I wasn't that interested in bashing him, because I really don't care. I do find it interesting that he calls a group of people illiterate and then posts in that style that is pretty ineffective from a communication angle.

Why the hell os there so much animosity between the generations on this site? I really don’t get it. Do people hate their parents/children that much now?

Did boomers hate their parents and vice versa like this current spat between boomers and millennials?

Is gen x ever going to have a voice or will they just sullenly shuffle around, listen to mumble rockers, and say frick everyone?

What will happen?

Which stems primarily from the way in which he laid out his argument. Coming from an emotional/angry point of view means you aren't thinking rationally, just speaking off the cuff. Correct grammar and coherence goes out the window.

Your family will have you locked in an attached storage room before 2020 has ended.

When did discrimination become cool? We can't be racist, so let's be ageist? Be kind to each other and figure it out. Stop boxing people into brackets.

No, they aren't clever enough. They just copy it and spread it around on their fancy facebooks and myspaces.

They did. Gen Z was making fun of their grandparents because they are spoiled little twats that only think in terms of 150 characters and memes. Either that or because boomers hate seeing what their past cultural decisions and policies have resulted in

I'm sure you're just joking, but let's pretend.

People who say this are total liars. It sounds nice and is the politically correct response, but it never happens.

People make instant judgements about new people 100% of the time. You might not speak it out loud, but you instantly make a judgement about a new person based on given information, personal bias and known stereotypes. This of course will change as you get to know someone better, but your initial reaction is still a judgement.

They may have come up with it but they aren't the only ones who use it

And across the board none of them seem to know how old boomers really are
