My friend got arrested for having a shotgun in his truck on the rack of back window back in the 80's at Broadmoor High, he was going hunting right after school, didn't even occur to him that would be an issue.

Who told you this? Rumor mills are generally such, rumors. I have reliable information that doesn't involve any mass shooting plans

I was told by a couple students at the school who live in our neighborhood (not my son). Yes, I know. Not the best source of information... My ex claims to have spoken to the friend claiming there is a partner involved...

If he was arrested at school and is claiming a partner, the school is most likely on lockdown and your ex will not be aloud to check him out. That's our protocol for these situations

Think how little sense that makes. Arrests would have already been made; the school would have been on lockdown.
