rsv??, covid, summer time cold, flu, variants . seems like the Pharma folks are going to make a specific vaccine for each when they should be looking for a broader application, primarily because testing for each is crap.
I traveled to New Orleans last week and have picked up the fever throat and sinus infection and painful muscles, and joints. I feel a lot like contracting Dengue fever which I had 30 years ago in Puerto Rico.
the interesting thing is I took a tablet of hydroxychloroquine, I had left over from last year and within 6 hours the fever broke, sinuses opened up and throat cleared.
is there anything hcq cannot do. the Pharma folk are terrified of that old standby drug

My wife has this same thing right now and has been tested twice showing negative, and she's had COVID once already and the pfizer vaccine.
At this point it's just a cough and diminished taste and smell that's been lingering for over a week and a half, but it started like a bad cold. Several members of my family are dealing with the same thing too, all at the same time

Can anyone confirm whether or not Texas Children’s Hospital is no longer testing for RSV? Only COVID. A friend of mine with a 1 year old told me this.
If so, the whole organization deserves to be burned to the ground.

I've had something for 2 weeks. No fever just cough and upper congestion. Covid negative on three separate tests.
Your loss of taste though is pretty indicative of covid. You may have just gotten a false negative.

I highly doubt that. My niece is a leukemia patient (in remission after a bone marrow transplant) at TCH. About 2 weeks ago, she started running a fever while in another state. Her doctors advised that she go to the nearest hospital, and they coordinated with one another. She was tested for RSV per their recommendation, and she tested positive. (She has since recovered, by the way.)
