Thinking about a Silverado crew cab, but I dont need it at all for work. Maybe use the truck bed once a yr. No need for the back seat either. Won't tow anything at all.

Still want a 1/2 ton truck though.

I sit at a desk for a living and rarely tow anything with mine but use the bed all the time.

Are you just buying it because you want to be cool driving a truck around town?

Yeah, about 95% of them.

Most people probably don't even have a scratch on their bed unless it's from groceries

Thinking
wrong board. PT board is your place, they'll point you in the right direction.

I’d say 95% of the people with 1/2 tons don’t need them. It’s the “keeping up with the jones” facade their trying to display.

Yep, a lot of people have to buy every model that has a new grill or a different tailgate

If you have a house, you'll use the bed more than you think

I’ve got a Sierra that I tow a boat with and some other things when the need arises, but for the most part I don’t really need it. I just like it. I am thinking about going with a Canyon next time around.

Get a short bed single cab, you'll find use for it or your relatives will. Can't imagine not having a truck. Good luck.

You could put a liner in the back and make a pool.

If you own and maintain a home you should have a pickup.

I’ve had a truck or an Avalanche from the ‘80s until 2014.

I got a Jeep Grand Cherokee then and haven’t looked back.

I need a truck about 5 times per year.

I have one at my disposal through work at any time.

I doubt I’ll ever go back to driving a truck full time.

Why not a gas 2500? Not much more expensive than a fully optioned half ton and far more capable.
