Russian women always seem to have a chip on their shoulder, which I like

They don't smile a lot. It seems like smiling is frowned upon in Russia. (Did I just type a pun?)

They often think they are the smartest people in the room and will go out of their way to let everyone know they think that. Very pompous.
Very argumentative and never admit when they are wrong.
Taught from an early age to cheat, especially at games that are perceived to require intelligence.
I hear they are terrible in bed.

I partied hard with some Ukranians in Vegas a few years back on New Years. I've also been clumsily learning Russian on this site, which is addictive thanks to the hot-sounding Svetlana samples.

very intelligent. stuck in their ways. they are still in culture shock about a lot of what the US citizen does. I think for them its like being a 1950's person from farm town, Kansas and shoved into 1978 metropolitan hippie culture.

Russians actually believe that smiling among strangers is a sign of personal weakness. A stoic visage is admired as being intelligent.
Because Americans generally smile or laugh so frequently (compared to Russians) Russians regard Americans as "grinning fools" as they like to say in Russian.

I was born in Moscow and lived there until I was 17 and this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read.

I played flip cup with a couple of Russian dudes in Bulgaria one time. They were not good.

See in Russia smiling is considered somewhat of a stupid thing.
See if we do smile at a stranger here, we were deemed foolish even though we only meant it to be polite. Why? Because Russians view it as though we were are naïve and a bit too trusting of someone we don’t even know.

Aren't cheaters considered liars? And considering it was a fake, online money game, it was literally worthless...

My int'l law prof from Russia died on a flight back from Europe smuggling condoms full of cocaine in his gut, so that's pretty cool.

Are professional photographers not strangers?

A russophile like yourself should use this opportunity to learn more about Russian culture from a guy like Sabi, not to contest it using blog posts you found.

I work with two guys from Russia:
One of them is a little crazy, but is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and is a great guy to work with.
One of them is more reserved, and is also a great guy to work with.
I've also had a lap dance once from a Russian stripper. My view of the Russian people is a positive one.
