Friend in watched with last night has the WWE network which gives you access to all the old PPVs and shows. $10 a month and you get the monthly PPV for free. Pretty good deal to me. May even get it myself to watch the Austin/Rock stuff again.
We've watched Wrestlemania every year for the past 5-6 years for nostalgia's sake. Last night's was extremely entertaining. But no, we don't think it's real and spent most of the night trying to guess the outcome of the matches.

OP is trying to look cool by saying what we all already know about wrestling, and how it's shocking to him. It's an underhanded way if putting wrestling fans down.....only for a two count though

Most entertainment on tv is created equal these days since it is all crap. The better shows like house of cards breaking bad etc ill watch on netflix. I don't mind watching wrestling but I'm not gonna flip out over the outcome of the match

I'm surprised anyone over 11 years old has any tolerance for it at all. I've been saying that garbage is for children since I was 12.

So, you're telling me that grown ups can watch something they know isn't real, know the outcome is predetermined, and still enjoy it?!?!?! Well if that's the case, this whole movie/television industry thing might actually work.

But athletes have been known to shave points or fix fights.

Not as surprising as seeing grown men worry about what other grown men do with their time and money.

Last night was my first time going to a WWF event. The stage and production were pretty incredible. The first hour or so was entertaining, but I got really bored after that.
At that point I really started observing the crowd. Obeseity and low intelligence levels seemed like a common theme. This one lady, a mother of 2, was the single laziest person I have ever seen. She made her kids get her soda all night because her fatass "aint walking down those steps." I wonder if she was too lazy to go to the bathroom and just shat herself.
There were a fair amount of "normal"-looking bros who were dressed in obnoxious costumes, getting wasted, and generally mocking the whole premise
Not a horrible way to spend a Sunday night, but I doubt I ever go back.

So it's like the tent revival scene in True Detective.
How much do tickets cost for such an event?

What's worse: people posting/talking about wrestling during the shows and such or people rioting after sporting events?

people watching wrestling is not in the same stratosphere as people betting on wrestling

I'm more surprised that other grown men care what other grown men watch.

Yeah I don't get that at all.
