Stephanie McMahon said she doesn't know when, but Wrestlemania will be back one day

Is it louder in the suite areas than the top of the dome?

Must be. I was in the cheap seats last night and it wasn't that loud for me. But Jones' Saints tickets are club level, so you get more sound there in the middle, I imagine.

Watched it when I was a kid, I haven't watched it since. I don't really see the appeal to older men, but to each his own. At least they aren't banging furbies and toy horses. Those guys are creepy.

Seriously, does anyone not realize that football, baseball, basketball, etc. are in the same boat? They are all forms of entertainment, nothing more, nothing less. Same with video games and cartoons, all entertainment.
Sports transcend just entertainment IMO. They help satisfy an instinct for fighting/competition and identification within a group.

maybe the different dimensions aided with the loud acoustics

I'm sure the sound all being angled towards the center and me being so close in the plaza level assisted with my noise experience. People around me were putting their hands over their ears at points

And wrestling doesn't?

Seriously thinking one is above the other is laughable. I enjoy them both, let's be honest about it though, they are both just forms of entertainment to occupy time as much so as watching an episode of Friends.

I was in section 511, the Austin and Rock pops were insanely loud. But the majority after that you could hear a mouse fart up there.

I guarantee the WWF pumps a lot of crowd noise in as well. Why wouldn't they?

I should have made it clear that I think it does. Some people were raised watching wrestling. I get that and I shouldn't slam it. It takes skill and is somewhat of an art form. I also like the show friends. It had it's moments. I don't agree that sports are just another form of entertainment though.

Not at all. To paraphrase an analyst/sports writer on TV somewhere recently:

Sports, particularly the pro athletes, relate to us b/c it's chance for us as ordinary joes to imagine ourselves as that athlete at that moment, doing things that normal people can't do - hitting a HR , catching a TD, sinking a 3pointer, winning a UFC title, etc.

There's also that thing of pride for your 'home' team that isn't nearly the same as being a Rock Fan or Stone Cold fan.

Pro wrestling is scripted just like a Broadway show, and while I find the entertainment value in both performances, I don't envy or live vicariously through the performers at any given time. I simply enjoy the show to see who wins, or who lives and dies.

But not nearly the same thing as watching a live sporting event.

This has pretty much been the argument that has been repeated in favor of wrestling. However, do you honestly believe that all forms of entertainment are created equal? If that's true then there's no substantative difference between A Serbian Film and The Godfather. There is a difference. One is trash, and the other is a classic.

Enjoy your wrestling. I don't care. I probably like stuff that y'all hate. But don't act surprised that people think that pro wrestling is very low brow entertainment geared towards the least common denominator.

So the largest attendance for a Saints game was 2,000 less than last night for WWE. Pretty amazing

dont they bring in a bunch more seats for small ringed events?
