Hit YouTube and do it yourself honestly if you want to save money. The shops will charge you a good bit for it. Replacing rotors is easy, the only “hard” part is having a friend help bleed the line

I done them before but tight on time . However, you are correct the labor is more than parts and most places will want to do an engine rebuild "because it's recommended service" ??

Can’t help. Do all my own work and no one can do it better than me. And I don’t work on anyone’s car but blood family and wife.

If in BR, I recommend Tri Care. They’re not the cheapest but their work is really good. I’ve taken my vehicles to other places and then have had to take them to Tri Care to get the work redone. Learned my lesson.

If you go to the Tri Care on Airline, ask for Trae!

Why? I have never had to disconnect the line. You unbolt the caliper and balance it on the axle.

ETA: mostly solid front axle heavy duties in my experience. But have done some half tons as well.

I work in this industry and have done thousands of brake jobs on passenger vehicles and trucks. I have never had to disconnect a brake line to do pads & rotors. Flushing brake fluid is certainly recommended, but no need to bleed the brakes after replacing pads & rotors.

Same here with a 2018 Murano. Replaced pads and rotors and never had to bleed the line. Just opened the brake fluid cap slightly to relieve pressure when pushing the pistons back in.

Correct. Same here.

And that time i learned my lesson on squeezing the calipers too much before seeing how much empty space the reservoir had and making a mess. Ha

So you can't suggest a good shop for a brake job? That's all you had to say, but at least the board knows you think no one can do a brake job better than you.
