This is exactly how it should be used. Another tool in the toolbox, but not the right tool most of the time.

Again, is it a PUBLIC school? Do you realize how many Christian communities and communes exist in America? This seems to be the same damn thing, just less familiar(thus scarier.)

Do you see a plan for a public school with religious instruction? Otherwise, you have yourself a straw man.

They've clearly stated that the community is open to people of any religious background or beliefs. They've also clearly stated that they will comply with all federal and state laws and regulations. They already have an admittedly smaller community nearby, with a quite wealthy, law-abiding populace. They've never stated, nor have they insinuated, that sharia law would be enforced. I'm basically atheist, and have no dog in this fight, but this is fear-mongering propaganda in its purest form.

Those are great. And the owners of that company are friends of mine from LSU engineering school, and certainly the type of people you'd want to support.

They're trying to shut down scalpers, but they absolutely support the transfer of tickets for at or below face value.

How in the absolute frick did he not get ejected? Jay would've been gone 1/3 of the way through that.
re: Why is it so hard to find honest/fair mechanics?
Posted by ScaryTerry on 4/8/25 at 11:02 pm to FAT SEXY
As a 3rd generation shop owner.. this business is getting more difficult by the day. Customers don't trust you because of their experiences with unscrupulous competitors(of which there are plenty), overhead costs are far higher than most people think, and it has become extremely difficult to find honest employees that provide the type of customer service that should be standard. One bad mechanic, or service writer, can ruin your shop's relationship with a large amount of customers in a very short time.
To those implying that the technicians cannot make a sufficient wage, consider this: I've employed technicians who didn't make it half way through high school that made 6 figure salaries working 45 hours per week, with health insurance, 401k match, etc. However, it's become harder and harder to find people who are willing and capable of doing this.
Local shops are constantly being bought by private equity firms and corporate entities who only care about rapidly expanding and flipping businesses, with no regard to the customers those shops have served for years or decades.
There are plenty more factors that play into this, but these are some of the biggest.

2 games. 3 pitchers. 2 runs allowed. Is that good? ??

Cowan and every reliever but Evans fresh for game 3? Sweep incoming!

I hope he finishes the game. I'm definitely cool with entering game 2 with Cowan's pitch count still at 0. Having both him and Evans to utilize for games 2 and 3 gives us a pretty solid chance at a sweep.

Also Dan Herd and Pepper Rutland... although I imagine both are right around the $1B mark
re: Anyone suggest a good shop for a brake job, will need rotors replaced.
Posted by ScaryTerry on 3/24/25 at 7:39 pm to Zakatak
I work in this industry and have done thousands of brake jobs on passenger vehicles and trucks. I have never had to disconnect a brake line to do pads & rotors. Flushing brake fluid is certainly recommended, but no need to bleed the brakes after replacing pads & rotors.

It's nice to have a catcher who's consistent defensively AND killing it at the plate. He's making a bigger difference this season than most realize.
