The job may not be stressful, but perhaps subconsciously you are concerned about missing work by oversleeping.

Could be this, or a project that you are working on that is laying on your mind. I’m the same way, but I know my issue is I can’t leave work at work and once I have down time I start thinking about things going on, things I want to get accomplished, projects I need others to take on… Haven’t found a solution yet, but at least I’ve identified the issue

Delta 8 with melatonin. Start with 1/2 of an edible.
LINK / is a good choice.

I’m subconsciously concerned about the fact that I have to go to work. As much as we like to pretend the economy and work habits of the past 75-100 years are normal, they aren’t. We live in an artificially contrived society. Most of it unhealthy for human beings.

You have anxiety. You need to find ways to cope with it.

I have the same problem. Exercise use to work for me. Now I take a low dose tricyclic antidepressant called Doxepin. Helps me stay asleep though most of the night.

Probably not going to be a popular remedy here but try meditation.

Just kidding. Working out is my meditation.

Both are helpful. Meditation is the practice of blocking out everything in your mind to focus on a singular point of action in the present moment. So working out is the same idea and why people see benefits from that as well mentally.

I wake up at 3:20 on days I work and I often wake up at midnight and just can’t go back to sleep. It used to be really bad with me not falling asleep at all but I got a script and I can at least fall asleep.

Try the time release melatonin. I saw another poster mention meditation - it works and their are some apps (I use calm), exercise for at least 30 mins daily and pop a benadryl if necessary.

I agree wih Trazadone. I was skeptical at first at getting on medication but it helped me reset my sleep cycle and not feel stressed about sleep. Now I only use it when I wake up in the middle of the night at 3am and can’t fall back asleep, which is once every 1-2 weeks at this point. When I started out I consistently would get horrible sleep every night!

Best medication I have found for it. Everything else leaves me feeling hungover. I only take it after a bad couple nights.

Have you tried melatonin?

That's basically a placebo. Studies have shown that the only group that had a measurable effect in taking it was really old people and even then it wasn't conclusive.

It seems the majority of people that post here are farmers.

Exactly what is happening to me. I wake up at 2 or 3 and can't get back to sleep again. I have a couch that I go to that helps a bit.
