We usually do a 5K locally, the ho ho run, but decided St.Jude is a much better cause and race.

Also, tunica is close by, so i talked them into the slots as i head to sports book for some sports betting.

I'm running the 10k this year. Ran the half last year. It's a pretty awesome experience. Running through the st Jude campus with all the patients and staff lined up cheering you on is really special.

Good luck at the 5k and tunica...

WELL, due to lack of training, I'll be doing 10K for total fun instead of the half.

Dtr running 10K as well.

Did it last year for a freind’s kid with ALL. Great race and a nice after party in the minor league ball park. Be sure to meet some of the patients when you get to the campus.

St. Jude does so much good for those families.

Hope every one hits their fundraising goals.

I'll be there, hopefully the weather holds out but it's a great run for a great cause. I'm a 5ker btw, look for the guy in the yellow shirt!!

So my dtr was checking in for the 10k and overheard some lady saying that she registered with the rest of her team. She wasn't evidently aware of the fundraising level as she hadn't met it and they told her that it would be charged to her card after whatever date. She was like "oh no".

How do you sign up for this and not know that you're signing up for a fundraising level???

(first year for me not being a Gold Hero -- broke my heart but it went up money wise and my dtr was fundraising too so … )

First time I miss it in 5 years. Great event. I strongly suggest going to the pasta party Friday night.

We have some in our group that are first timers. They missed the opportunity to buy pasta dinner tickets and while I think that we should offer them ours, my daughter is like NO WAY. She's chosen her college based on proximity to St Jude as that's her goal job with ALSAC.

This is about my 7th year going and I love it every time. It’s an emotional high that you cannot duplicate. My first time going was really memorable, especially the pasta party and running through the St. Jude campus during the half. Just doing the 10k this year. I don’t think I could make it through another 13.1.
God Bless all St. Jude children; their families and anyone battling cancer. My heart goes out to each and every one.

No you chose different levels and no fundraising is an option. But it clearly states what the obligations are.

I hear the Chinese are favored in this year’s race.

The race is a great time, and i recommend everyone 2 at least try it once, even if you do the 5k and walk it.

The kids, even in the shitty weather, out there cheering the runners on, i almost had 2 stop, some one had cut some onions and the eyes were swelling. Just a very emotional, and awesome experience running thru the St.Jude complex and seeing kids, who many have never known what it's like to be a child and know what a child hood is like. Just an amazing experience.

Seriously, just a great time.

Wife is cutting onions again
