Harry Lee was the man. Lopinto, Forunato, and Normand combined don't fill the shoes of the "Chinese Dirty Harry."

HL was a good guy and he never held back when talking about who was committing the crimes most of the time in Jefferson Parish. He would get crucified if he were still on the job and said the things he used to say.

I will say that I think his success was overblown. He was mostly in charge of a middle class white parish and the dept. was funded very very well, so they weren't ever going to look bad.

Went fishing with him and he had deputies take care of everything including baiting his hook.

Best thing he did was instruct his deputies to stop rinky dink cars driving in good neighborhoods.

Our old man head of security here (retired recently from here)was second man behind Lee back in the day. He sure had some good ole stories. They all had a good time back then.

That old show that used to air on Comedy Central called Insomniac with Dave Attell.

YouTube the Nola episode. Attell is riding in the back of a pickup truck with Lee and his men shooting nutria in like Metairie.

This was like 2001 or something. Pretty funny.
