How bad did she hurt you? Also, it wasn’t the Ambien. It was you.

That sucks. I’ve taken ambien a few times. It makes me feel almost drunk about 30 minutes after I take it. My motor skills go to shite. And if I don’t have a full 12 hours before I have to function as an actual human being I can’t take it.

I think I tried this and it gave me leg cramps so bad, I’d just rather not sleep.

I have battled insomnia for 30 years.
It became worse after war.
I am one of those people who averages 3-4 hours of sleep per night and function fine daily. I eat well and work out 4-5 days a week. 6-7 hours is heaven for me.
I saw a sleep expert after Iraq. After 4 months of 'skeep hygiene', teas, relaxation cd's, no reading in bed, bedtime at exact same time every day, and multiple sleep aids.....
He threw in the towel and said to just take ambien.
I have taken it every night for years with no issues.
Ambien helps you fall asleep, not stay asleep.
I get that solid 4 hours I need.
And yes, if I run out....I get zero sleep. This is very true.
And....it aggravates the shite out me getting advice from people who sleep easily most nights. They need to recognize that some people are not designed to get 8-9 hours a night.
Off soap box

And if so how good does it work for you?
Ambien is awesome, Great sleep aid. IMO It should only be used to reset your sleep cycle tho over the course of 2-3 nights every so often. Taken daily or even semi frequently = bad.
Its a strange drug in a class of its own, and affects people in very different ways.

On it right now.
Will be back after I finalize this online order. Good deal on a pallet on of snuggies.
Also probably gonna eat a box of Cheerios naked later, in the front yard.
ETA: My neighbors yard is nicer...moving Cheerio plans over there

Thanks for serving.
I was wondering if you or others here have tried CBD Oil?

Zombie walks.
It works.
Go right to bed.
Do not take day after day.
Once every few days.
The side effects are wretched but unlikely with occasional use.

I had a RX for it that I only filled one time and it lasted me for months. First time I took one pill I felt like crap the next day being so lethargic, but I did get a good nights sleep.
After that I would break the pill in half and that worked pretty good with no ill effects the next day. I only filled it once since I'm not into mood altering drugs all that much. I do have to take meds for cholesterol and high blood pressure and didn't want to add to the mix.
Matter of fact, my wife took more of them than I did and she loved them and I could see it could become a problem for her, so I never refilled the RX and let it lapse.

I have some otc sleeping pills and I can usually call it when I am worked up about something or particularly wired and i take one a couple times a month. They work great but there is a hangover.
I do wake up between 2 and 4am pretty much every morning. I just hang out during that time and eventually get back to sleep. I can operate like that though. I have video of my brother on ambien telling crazy stories and eating tons of junk. I got too many skeletons to be talking unconsciously.

I use it about one night a week. For some reason I can't sleep on Sunday nights.

It was fun. I saw things move and my grand piano levitated. ‘Flowers in vases danced, books and items on tables moved along the tables. Pictures on the walls slid up the wall. It was fun.

have taken ambien 3-4 times a week for years. It's an awesome sleep aid for some, not so much for others.

I sleepwalk and do weird shite just from getting drunk and staying up too long.
I’d hate to know what ambien would do

Drink some bourbon and pop a couple and just sit back and be an observer.

I can tell you take it when you lay down to go to sleep, not hour or so before because you might just say things that others don't/shouldn't hear. YOu might just do things you didn't realize you did until they tell you the next day. That happened to me. Worked out for me bc it was funny but heard others tell stories that their spouse didn't want to hear. I guess each person metabolizes meds differently.
