Anyone notice the Marketing Campaign SPAM is going on?

Most of the time I watch streaming and avoid commercials like a plague.
Was watching sports fairly regularly recent and I can’t remember ever seeing Spam commercials let alone back to back.
Seems like every other commercial was about Spam and it wasn’t the same commercial. Pretty crazy. Trying to hype up a polarizing food.

Clear recession signal.

Hawaiians eat tons of Spam. If Spam can have the rest of us pick it up to 50% of Oahu, they can become as big as Apple.

It's working because that cubed fried Spam looked great in that commercial.

That's what I call competent marketing. Recession is barreling down on us. Cheap mystery meat makes sense in tough times. Spam gets that. Ramp up the marketing budget, increase sales, expand brand exposure. No need to waste time with ESG non-sense, or awful Tim & Eric comedy commercials. Strike while the skillet is hot.

Saw a documentary on food not to long ago and Spam is actually not mystery meat . They make it from pork shoulder and grind up the meat first. It then is put in a can and cooked inside the can. Spices and salt added before cooking. Actually made from high quality pork.

It isn't a coincidence that SPAM steps up its marketing during times of economic downturn. They also push a little more after the holidays when they know some people maxed out credit cards to keep up with the Jonses and are now struggling to pay off their balance.
Smart bidness.

With the impending economic decline I think spam realizes it’s their time to shine

I haven’t had a fried spam & cheese sandwich in probably 20 years. Now I’m suddenly craving one.

Spam and eggs is under appreciated.
But yeah, I suppose an increase in Spam ads and Spam purchases would coincide with worsening economic conditions.
Let's go SpamMan.

I think if you run the meat under water you can get rid of a considerable amount of sodium. I know this Works for canned vegetables.
That said
Rouses and maybe Walmart has chopped ham cubes that are basically a healthier spam if you're into it. Sear it in a pan and toss it in Sriracha and throw some black pepper on it. Serve over rice. Easy bachelor food and kids love it.
Wait till you see how expensive SPAM is

Slice it, fry it, slice of cheddar over it between two pieces of white bread with mayo for the win!
