Yes. And we have family that works for the school system.

Considering I’m likely smarter than you and I am currently hesitant, what’s that make you?

I would have sent mine back to school a couple of weeks ago if I could.

Kids back at school with the virus dont concern me much for them.

The nonstop propaganda of BLM and Antifa and Anti Trump stuff that kids get in public schools this fall will be a bigger concern.

I am not 100% comfortable with it. My wife has an autoimmune condition, so I worry everyday of her catching it. Kids going to school every day and bringing germs home is a big concern.

I'm 100% fine with it

If parents are that concerned, homeschooling is always an option

My sister, who claims to have some type of autoimmune disease, is planning to homeschool her kids this year.

I want to know WTF they are going to do when a teacher, student, teacher's spouse, or student's parent comes down with COVID. Because if they dont have a plan for that then they are probably going to freak out, overreact, and send everyone home.

If people didn’t sue school systems every time Little Johnny got a hangnail playing basketball at PE, the freak out that you described wouldn’t happen.

My kids have been in school (Daycare) for over a month. This argument is stupid.

Comfortable isn't a word I'd use since I'm legit worried about the corona, but I still want them to school.

I'm not worried about my kid getting covid. I am worried about school shutting down in the middle of the semester and getting left out to dry like last year, missing another year of school.
That's really my main concern

Didn’t you learn in school that millions of Native Americans DIED because they didn’t allow their kids to be exposed to foreign viruses?

They stayed in lockdown mode for way too long and then most died the first time they were around other people that had been to Europe.

Do you want to be dead Indians? Because if you do, keeping your kids from the real world is how you all Ring around the Rosie, all fall down

I don’t understand what makes lay people think they have this all figured out.

Here’s a novel idea. Full in school schedule and if you have some at risk folks at home you can opt out to virtual remote learning at home. Why are we not opting to exercise our rights rather than the all knowing government taking our rights away.

while on the surface this sounds like the most practical option, but forcing teachers to juggle in class students and virtual students would be a nightmare logistically

people just need to homeschool if they are not comfortable with sending their kids to school

They could film class and watch online then answer questions later. We could pay the teachers extra and quit giving money to a bunch of deadbeats.

Our kids went back to daycare a few weeks back. They had to shut it down because a teacher and four students tested positive for covid. Now we are all on a 14 day quarantine.
