She’s the best thing I can ask for.

Religious, sweet, intelligent, and a good mother

I’ve got a friend who married a woman from the Philippines as his 2nd marriage. From his perspective it’s an upgrade because the first one didn’t respect or love him.

Over time, he became a better person but it was too late for marriage #1 to recover.

He now adores his #2. It seems like they each believe they outkicked their coverage in their current marriage. I still do not see what they value in each other. But my standards are very different.

I think she filled a void by being so into him.

I dated one for about a year in the peak of my bachelorhood. she was a smoke show with an epic pair of real tits. cooked, cleaned, and fricked my brains out. she also had a great job.

The only problem was she was insanely jealous. She would dig through my phone anytime I sat it down. If my Mom txt me she would want to know what she said. I couldn’t handle it. And if I’m completely honest I knew I could get back with the hot mexican ex of mine at the time.

Maybe it would’ve worked out at a different point in my life. It didn’t and I’m happy with what I’ve got!

I had this Filipina woman who worked for me. Her husband must have been retired. She couldn't drive, so he picked her up after work every day.
She was a working machine.
She was my age, about 60 at the time, but looked younger. Might have weighed 100 lbs, long black hair almost down to her arse.
She wouldn't call me by my name. Insisted on calling me Sir.
The funniest thing about her was, she considered me to be The Boss. My boss was just some guy to her. He came around one day to ask her if she wanted to get off early (her son was graduating), and she said " If my boss says it's ok..." looking directly at me.
Dissed him without ever knowing she was dissing him.

Yes, a friend from my 20's recently retired and his savings were not great because of a costly divorce. After some research he sold everything and moved to the Philippines. I got to meet him and his young fiancé a couple of months ago. They are now married and she's pregnant. They showed me a photo of the wife's cousin who wanted to meet me (heh). Not bad at all, and half my age; but it's just not for me. He told me "If you move here you WILL have a girlfriend in a day, and you can try them out until you find the one that is right."

Will it be successful? Who knows, but I think he has a better shot there than here. He's building a house a few hundred yards from her parents, and has ex-pat friends building houses nearby. Being a father starting in his late 60's will be a challenge, but they will have live in help. Beautiful beaches nearby and the Filipinos I met were good people. I'm happy for him.

I grew up around a bunch in south texas. Beautiful girls but i noticed they were very cliquey. They were nice and friendly but only really gathered around and dated other filipinos.

Define successful? Does she cook and keep a clean house? Yes. Does she henpeck the shite out of him and make all the decisions? Also yes.

Ex: They got in a big fight during a date night because he didn't wear the clothes she picked out for him.

Ex2: Myself, my wife, and 3 other couples were tailgating at an Angels game. We were going to walk across the street to a brewery to get beer to go. All of the guys got up to walk there, when she yelled at him to sit down, so he did and stayed back with the ladies while the other guys went.

I used to work with a guy that was married to one. He came to work every day complaining about her and her family. He was coming to the realization that he had been used by her to get to the US and had him paying to move all of her family here, and they were all living in his house.

I knew an old fella who was stationed in the Philippines for a time back in the early 1960's and bagged him a wife. They were married until he died a few years ago. Nice lady. Good cook.

From the stories I've heard, these actually work out at a higher percentage than a traditional marriage

Well yeah, one party can’t leave, and the other had to pay for a broad half way around the world in order to get laid. Neither one are in any kind of position to ever leave the other
